Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) in San Jose, CA, is hiring a Software Engineer for Platform Engineering within the Developer Experience group.

You will help build and support scalable platforms, automation, and developer tools to streamline engineering workflows across AMD. You will work with Kubernetes, Linux, and modern CI/CD tooling while collaborating with multiple teams to improve reliability, monitoring, and self-service capabilities for developers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support and enhance Kubernetes-based platforms and containerized workloads.
• Develop automation and reusable tools using Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, or similar technologies.
• Build and maintain CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions, GitHub Runners, Jenkins, or comparable tools.
• Support developer platforms including GitHub, Perforce, Artifactory, and Harbor.
• Troubleshoot issues across Linux, containers, servers, and CI/CD environments.
• Improve platform monitoring, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Build self-service solutions that improve developer productivity.
• Collaborate with software, infrastructure, platform, and security teams.
• Explore opportunities to apply AI-assisted technologies to engineering and automation workflows.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies and work outside of an immediate area of expertise.
