Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) seeks a hands-on Platform Engineer to build and operate infrastructure foundations enabling engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure products. You will work across Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, and AI-enabled workloads, partnering with software, DevOps, security, and AI teams to deliver a simple, dependable developer experience.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in software engineering, DevOps, SRE, cloud infra or platform engineering.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes, containers, and automation.
• Experience implementing IaC with Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation or similar.
• Strong scripting: Python/Go/Bash or TypeScript.
• Ability to troubleshoot Linux, networking, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate scalable Kubernetes-based platform capabilities.
• Create IaC modules and automated workflows (Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Kustomize).
• Develop platform observability: metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, SLOs.
• Improve reliability, security posture, and cost efficiency via automation.
• Support AI/ML workloads, GPU scheduling, and multi-cluster Kubernetes architectures.
• Enable self-service through APIs, templates, and CI/CD integrations.
• Define platform standards and remove delivery bottlenecks.
• Lead root-cause analysis for production issues and implement durable improvements.
• Contribute to technical roadmaps and engineering standards.
