Cisco Systems, Inc. seeks a Platform Software Engineer to design, build, and operate the control-plane and scheduling systems that make GPU infrastructure usable at scale. You will work at the intersection of distributed systems, Kubernetes, and workload orchestration.

You’ll develop APIs, controllers, and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring reliability and performance across multi-cluster AI compute environments, with on-call rotations and scalable platforms like OpenShift or upstream Kubernetes.

Formación

• Bachelors in CS/CE or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years building or operating Kubernetes-based platforms or distributed systems.
• Strong Go or Python development with experience in platform control-plane services or CRDs.
• Experience with GPU/AI workloads scheduling or accelerator clusters.
• Practical IaC, GitOps, CI/CD, and observability tooling.
• Familiarity with multi-cluster control planes and tenant isolation.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop platform control-plane services, APIs, and controllers for multi-cluster lifecycle and GPU quotas.
• Implement GPU capacity scheduling and multi-tenant isolation with scheduling logic for training vs inference.
• Develop capacity intake, demand-classification, and routing tooling for workload placement.
• Create automated remediation to detect and recover from node/workload failures; optimize platform throughput.
• Build scalable Kubernetes-based platforms (OpenShift or upstream Kubernetes) and maintain platform services via Operators/CRDs.
• Develop automation tooling and dashboards to improve visibility and reliability; apply IaC, GitOps, and CI/CD practices; participate in on-call.
