Job summary

Veeam Software, Inc. is seeking a Platform Engineer to join the Data Cloud team to build a secure, reliable platform for the VDC product.

You will automate public cloud infrastructure and contribute to an internal developer platform, enabling teams to build, test, deploy, and monitor services. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in production SaaS or cloud ops, strong coding skills (Typescript or Python), and experience with Terraform or Pulumi, plus GitHub Actions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in production operations for a SaaS or cloud service provider.
• Proficiency in a high-level language such as Typescript or Python.
• Experience automating infrastructure as code with Terraform or Pulumi.
• Experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Claude Code, Codex or similar tooling.
• Experience with a breadth and depth of public cloud services.
• Experience building and supporting enterprise SaaS products.
• Understanding of operational excellence in SaaS environments and secure cloud design.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain code to automate public cloud infrastructure and the internal developer platform.
• Document system designs, configurations, processes, and decisions to support async, distributed teams.
• Collaborate with engineers to build the VDC platform and related SaaS products.
• Work with containers, serverless infra, and cloud services in the SaaS domain; participate in on-call rotations.

About The Role

We’re looking for a Platform Engineer to join the Veeam Data Cloud team. The mission of the Platform Engineering team is to provide a secure, reliable, and easy to use platform to enable our teams to build, test, deploy, and monitor the VDC product.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with cloud infrastructure and software development experience to build the world’s most successful, modern, data protection platform.

What You’ll Do

• Write and maintain code to automate our public cloud infrastructure, and Internal Developer Platform
• Document system design, configurations, processes, and decisions to support our async, distributed team culture
• Collaborate with a team of engineers to build the VDC platform
• Work with a modern technology stack based on containers, serverless infrastructure, public cloud services, and othercutting-edgetechnologies in the SaaS domain
• On-callrotation for product operations

Technologies You’ll Work With

Kubernetes, Azure AKS, AWS EKS, Helm, Docker, Terraform, Golang, Bash, Git, etc.

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of experience in production operations for a SaaS (Software as a Service) or cloud service provider
• Possessing development skills in a high-level programming language like Typescript or Python
• Experience automating infrastructure through code using technologies such as Terraform or Pulumi.
• Experience with GitHub Actions
• Experience working with Claude Code, Codex or similar
• Experience with a breadth and depth of public cloud services
• Experience building and supporting enterprise SaaS products
• Understanding of the principles of operational excellence in a SaaS environment
• Understanding and experience implementing secure design principles in the cloud
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and implement those technologies in a pragmatic manner
• A strong bias toward action and direct, frequent communication
• A university degree in a technical field

Pay Transparency

Veeam is committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation. For this role, the compensation range below reflects the expected total target compensation (TTC), inclusive of base pay and a competitive performance-based bonus. For roles with a commission plan, the compensation range represents On Target Earnings (OTE), which includes base salary plus variable commission. When determining compensation, Veeam takes into consideration factors such as experience, education, skills, and geographic zone. Offers are typically made below the midpoint of the range.

In addition to compensation, Veeam provides a comprehensive benefits package, including health coverage, retirement plans, and unlimited time off.
