Job summary

Veeam is seeking a Platform Engineer to join the Data Cloud team in San Jose, CA. You will write and maintain code to automate public cloud infrastructure and Internal Developer Platform, ensuring a secure and scalable SaaS data protection platform.

Collaborate with a team of engineers to design, deploy, and operate at scale using Kubernetes, Terraform, and serverless technologies. On-call rotation and a strong emphasis on secure design are part of the role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in production operations for a SaaS or cloud service provider.
• Experience building and automating cloud infrastructure with code.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, Terraform, and public cloud services.
• Strong development skills in languages such as Typescript or Python.
• Experience with GitHub Actions and modern CI/CD practices.
• Ability to design secure, scalable cloud architectures.

Responsibilities

• Join the Platform Engineering team to provide a secure, reliable, and easy to use platform for the Veeam Data Cloud.

• We’re looking for a Platform Engineer to join the Veeam Data Cloud team
• The mission of the Platform Engineering team is to provide a secure, reliable, and easy to use platform to enable our teams to build, test, deploy, and monitor the VDC product
• Write and maintain code to automate our public cloud infrastructure, and Internal Developer Platform
• Document system design, configurations, processes, and decisions to support our async, distributed team culture
• Collaborate with a team of engineers to build the VDC platform
• Work with a modern technology stack based on containers, serverless infrastructure, public cloud services, and othercutting-edgetechnologies in the SaaS domain
• On-callrotation for product operations
