Job summary

SRM Digital seeks an experienced Platform Engineer to design, build, automate, and support scalable, reliable, and secure application platforms for enterprise environments. The role emphasizes cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, DevOps, and IaC to enable self-service platforms.

You will collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, automation, monitoring, and security best practices across AWS/Azure, Kubernetes, and container platforms.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Proficient with Terraform / IaC and CI/CD pipelines.
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell; Git proficiency.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to design, build, automate, and support scalable, reliable, and secure application platforms for enterprise technology environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and platform automation, along with the ability to work closely with application development and infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable platform engineering solutions supporting enterprise applications.
• Build and manage cloud infrastructure across AWS and/or Azure environments.
• Develop and maintain Kubernetes/container platforms, including deployment, configuration, scaling, and troubleshooting.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, configuration management, and operational processes.
• Work with development teams to establish self-service platform capabilities and standardized deployment patterns.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability using tools such as Datadog, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, or CloudWatch.
• Troubleshoot platform, infrastructure, deployment, networking, and application-related issues.
• Implement security, access controls, secrets management, and compliance best practices.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, DevOps engineers, SRE teams, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in production support, incident management, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and automation standards.

Required Skills

• 6–10 years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Strong knowledge of Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong scripting/programming skills using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with Git and modern software development practices.
• Knowledge of cloud networking, IAM, security, DNS, load balancing, and compute/storage services.
• Experience with Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or CloudWatch.
• Strong understanding of DevOps, SRE, automation, scalability, reliability, and high-availability concepts.
