Job summary

Tact, a well-backed NYC AI startup, is seeking a Platform Engineer to own and debug their Kubernetes platform while migrating workloads. This role requires strong expertise in CI/CD pipelines and IaC, particularly with Terraform or OpenTofu, and a collaborative approach to support internal developers.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years in a relevant field and hands-on experience troubleshooting live systems. The position offers a competitive salary of $140-175k, plus meaningful equity.

Qualifications

• Real, hands-on experience with live K8s production systems.
• Ability to explain complex issues clearly.

We're working with a well-backed NYC AI startup building autonomous agent platforms for enterprise customers.

They're looking for a Platform Engineer who can operate and debug Kubernetes in production today. Not just run workloads. Actually debug live clusters, read manifests, interpret diagnostics, and fix things under pressure.

What You'll Do:

• Own and operate the Kubernetes platform as the team migrates workloads onto it
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows
• Write IaC with Terraform or OpenTofu
• Treat internal developers as customers and iterate on their experience
• Contribute to a developer portal and internal tooling over time
