Job summary

Avalore.ai in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure for our applications and services. You will work with Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines in a security‑minded DevSecOps environment.

Responsibilities include optimizing performance, managing cloud resources, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to drive cost efficiencies and reliability.

Qualifications

• Active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph.
• Experience with Kubernetes, DevSecOps, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, RedHat Linux, Helm, Container Management, CI/CD, AWS IAM.

Job description

As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure that supports the organization's applications and services. Your role will involve working with Kubernetes, DevSecOps practices, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, RedHat Linux, Helm, container management, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS IAM. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of the platform, as well as optimizing performance and cost-efficiency.

To excel in this role, you should have hands‑on experience with the tools and processes mentioned above. Familiarity with Kubernetes for container orchestration, DevSecOps practices for integrating security into the development process, and Terraform for infrastructure as code will be beneficial. Experience with Ansible and Puppet for configuration management RedHat Linux for operating system administration, Helm for managing Kubernetes applications, and AWS IAM for identity and access management will also be valuable. Your expertise in these areas will enable you to effectively collaborate with cross‑functional teams, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the platform infrastructure.

Requirements

Work Environment

• Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment).
• Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
