Job summary

Zoom's Platforms DevOps team leads Kubernetes clusters across datacenters and clouds, delivering reliable, secure infrastructure and cost optimization. In this role you will partner with Engineering, DevOps/SRE, and Security to deliver impactful infrastructure improvements and automation, mentoring ICs and shaping roadmaps.

The ideal candidate is an experienced SRE/DevOps leader with strong Kubernetes experience, CI/CD, IaC, and the ability to communicate technical concepts to senior management.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of SRE/DevOps experience managing production infrastructure.
• 3+ years of management experience leading technical teams.
• Experience with at least one programming language besides scripting.
• Experience with cloud providers (e.g., AWS, OCI) and cloud infra tech (Terraform, Kubernetes).
• Proven Kubernetes experience in production from an SRE perspective.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and version control (Git, Jenkins, Argo CD, JFrog Artifactory).
• Ability to guide releases/deployments and participate in after-hours incidents.

Responsibilities

• Leading projects that automate infrastructure management and advance Kubernetes and cloud capabilities.
• Identifying and executing cost optimization opportunities across cloud resources and infrastructure.
• Driving security improvements across cloud and Kubernetes assets in partnership with Security teams.
• Collaborating with partner teams and stakeholders to understand needs and build project roadmaps.
• Developing team members and optimizing work processes through mature software practices and continuous improvement.
