Job summary

Hyve Solutions in Fremont, CA seeks an engineering professional to execute NPI builds and manage day-to-day factory activities, driving issues with Hardware/Software teams to closure.

You will qualify bleeding-edge firmware technologies, ensure firmware flashing is issue-free, and collaborate across functions to resolve NPI build challenges. BS CS/ME with server component expertise; Linux administration skills are a bonus.

Qualifications

• BS in ME/CS/CE or equivalent years of industry experience.
• Deep knowledge of major server component architecture and design.
• Experience troubleshooting x86-based systems and diagnosing hardware/software issues.
• Linux administration skills (Python, RedHat, SUSE, Debian) a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Execute NPI builds and day-to-day factory activities.
• Drive technical issues to closure with Hardware/Software Eng teams.
• Resolve issues during NPI builds and ensure firmware flashing is error‑free.
• Qualify bleeding-edge firmware technologies at component and platform levels.
• Collaborate with functions within Hyve to resolve NPI build issues.

Responsibilities

• This person will execute NPI builds and day to day activities in the factory
• Drive technical issues to closure by working with Hardware/Software Engineering to identify, track
• root case and resolve issues during NPI builds.
• Will make sure firmware flashing process is free of issues to make sure NPI builds.
• Qualify bleeding-edge and firmware technologies at component and platform levels.
• Collaborates with different functions within Hyve to drive resolution to issues affecting NPI builds.

Qualifications

• BS ME, MS, CS, CE preferred or equivalent yeas of industry experience.
• Deep knowledge of major server component architecture and design (motherboards, hard drives, RAM, CPUs, heat sinks, fans, etc.).
• Working knowledge of major power related components (power supplies, PDUs, VRMs, etc.) and control interfaces (PMBus, IPMI, etc.).
• Ability to troubleshoot x86-based systems; diagnose hardware and software issues.
• Proficiency with administration of a range of operating systems, including Python, RedHat, SuSE, and Debian Linux-based distributions is a bonus.
• Comfortable in a fast moving, small team environment.
• Excellent communication skills—written and verbal.
• Attention to detail and process.
• Self-starter and highly motivated.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or 3+ years of related experience.

Salary is between $125,000 to $150,000 depending on experience
