Job summary

SpaceXAI in the United States is seeking a systems/kernel engineer to build and optimize a Linux-based OS for a lean supercomputer network. You will write drivers, tune performance, and collaborate with hardware teams to bring up new hardware with our software stack.

You must possess deep knowledge of C/C++, OS internals, and networking, plus excellent communication to share complex concepts clearly with teammates across disciplines. This role emphasizes hands-on development and reliability.

Qualifications

• Hands-on systems programming with C or C++.
• Strong understanding of OS scheduling, memory management, I/O.
• Knowledge of computer networking, including hosts, switches, routers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a lean, high‑reliability Linux OS underpinning our supercomputer network fabric.
• Write high‑performance device drivers to maximize hardware capability.
• Deploy, operate, and debug the platform in production; develop observability and configuration tools; collaborate with hardware teams to bring up OS on new hardware.
