Job summary

SpaceXAI in Seattle and Palo Alto is seeking a Software Engineer - Platform Core (C++, C) to help build a lean, high-reliability Linux OS for our supercomputer network. You will write device drivers, deploy and debug the platform in production, and collaborate with hardware teams to bring up new systems, focusing on reliability and performance.

Candidates should have hands-on C/C++ systems programming, deep OS and networking knowledge, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Hands-on systems programming in C/C++.
• Strong OS scheduling, memory management, I/O knowledge.
• Networking knowledge: host stack and devices (switches/routers).
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Linux-based operating system for the supercomputer network.
• Write or rewrite high-performance device drivers.
• Deploy, operate, and debug platform in production.
• Root-cause anomalies to improve reliability.
• Develop tools for observability and configuration management.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to bring up OS on new hardware.
