Job summary

SunnyData is seeking a Solutions Architect focused on Platform, Cloud Infrastructure, and Security to design and implement scalable data infrastructure while ensuring security and compliance. You will divide time between billable work and pre-sales efforts, guiding customers through data engineering and architecture, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end data solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years as a hands-on Solutions Architect with experience in Data Security or related areas.
• Experience designing data platforms on cloud infrastructure and services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with cloud security and networking.
• Expertise in Data Engineering technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka), Databricks platform, cloud platforms, security, automation, networking, or identity management.
• End-to-end data analytics workflow understanding; ability to lead architecture sessions and build implementation blueprints.
• SDLC tooling such as Github, Gitlab and Continuous Inspection like SonarQube; Artifact Management like Artifactory.
• IaC tools like Terraform.
• Programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• SQL expertise: write, debug, optimize queries.
• Client-facing and presentation skills; ability to communicate with stakeholders.
• Documentation experience: POCs, roadmaps, diagrams, system views.
• Team leadership and mentoring experience.
• Ability to deliver end-to-end technical solutions with performance, security, and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted advisor to customers; balance billable and pre-sales work.
• Design, build, and deploy data solutions supporting AI/ML and BI initiatives.
• Collaborate with sales to present technical solutions to clients.
• Manage multiple customer accounts ensuring timely delivery and reporting of outcomes.
• Architect data solutions with governance, security, and quality considerations.
• Evaluate data sources and advise on inclusion strategies for analytics.
• Lead internal teams; mentor and educate end users on data products and analytic environments.
• Perform system analysis, assess and resolve data and system defects.
• Test data movement and transformation code to ensure accuracy and reliability.
