Cardlytics is seeking a Principal Software Engineer, Tech Lead - Platform to own and evolve our data compute environment on AWS. You will define platform direction, shape AI-ready foundations, and mentor engineers across data and platform teams.

Lead architecture for batch/streaming/ML workloads, implement governance with RBAC and security best practices, and drive DevOps practices for lakehouse deployments.

Formación

• 7+ years in data engineering or data platform roles with at least 2 years in technical lead or architect capacity.
• Experience with Lakehouse architectures and large-scale ELT/ETL pipelines in production.

Responsabilidades

• Architecture and design: evolve next-generation architecture; establish reference architectures for batch, streaming, ML, and AI workloads.
• AI-ready data platform: build semantic layer, feature store, and data ontology for AI/agentic apps; enable governed, self-service access.
• User enablement: be primary technical partner for analysts, engineers, and business users; create self-service docs and onboarding materials.
• Technical leadership: set direction for platform, mentor engineers, drive engineering excellence, manage vendor relationships.
• Performance and reliability: define monitoring standards and SLAs; tune Spark jobs; own incident response.
• Governance and security: drive unified governance layer (Databricks Unity Catalog); implement security practices including encryption and audit logging.
• Platform standards and governance: define operating model and guardrails for lakehouse platforms on AWS; cost governance.
• Infrastructure as code: own CI/CD for lakehouse deployments (Terraform, GitHub Actions); enforce DevOps practices.
