Job summary

American Consumer Credit Counseling, Inc. in Newton, MA is seeking a Director of Product & Technology to own the platform strategy and lead end-to-end development for ACCC's digital services.

This hands-on leadership role combines architecture, UI/UX oversight, API integrations, and AI-driven data solutions with a focus on scalable, compliant technology that supports growth. The director will guide vendors, manage a cross-functional team, and drive measurable business impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, product management, technology, digital strategy, information systems, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of experience in digital product management, software/platform development, technology strategy, or related discipline, with hands-on technical experience.
• Hands-on experience with web/platform development, API integrations, and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience evaluating and implementing AI/ML‑based data or personalization solutions.
• Experience scouting, selecting, and managing technology vendors, development agencies, or consultants.
• Experience building digital products or platforms in an early‑stage, startup, or 0‑to‑1 environment preferred.
• Demonstrated experience leading digital products from concept through launch and ongoing improvement.
• Experience managing teams and leading cross‑functional initiatives.
• Strong understanding of roadmaps, prioritization, requirements, testing, implementation, and product performance measurement.
• Experience partnering with technology, operations, marketing, compliance, and executive stakeholders.
• Experience in financial services, consumer services, fintech, nonprofit environments preferred.
• Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ACCC's digital product vision, strategy, multiyear roadmap into actionable initiatives.
• Establish product goals, business outcomes, success measures, and value propositions with business leaders.
• Lead processes for evaluating, prioritizing and managing digital product requests based on alignment, impact, risk, effort and value.
• Balance new product development with enhancements, regulatory requirements, dependencies, and maintenance.
• Identify opportunities to improve digital client experiences and operational workflows.
• Own end-to-end architecture and infrastructure decisions for the subsidiary's platform.
• Coordinate UI/UX design and overall user experience across the platform.
• Scope, evaluate, and manage API integrations with third‑party data, marketing, and fintech platforms.
• Lead website development and ongoing technical build-out of ConsumerCredit.com.
• Identify and implement AI-based data solutions for personalization and routing.
• Oversee feasibility, architecture decisions, and solution design with partners as needed.
• Oversee UAT, launch readiness, communications, training, implementation and post-launch support.
• Monitor product performance and drive continuous improvement based on results.
• Communicate recommendations to senior leadership and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Product & Technology team, and manage outsourced partners.
