Instructure is seeking a Platform Architect to lead the design, development, and delivery of our Platform as a Service products and developer portal. You will drive architectural decisions, mentor engineering teams, and ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of our platforms, impacting millions of learners worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in software development with at least 3 years in a lead/principal role.
• Deep expertise designing, building, and scaling distributed systems; strong leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design for PaaS features and platform components.
• Drive development of complex software solutions with high quality code.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to multiple engineering teams.
• Collaborate with managers, SRE, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specs.
