Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino is seeking a Systems Software Engineer for Platform Architecture to develop technologies that connect hardware and software for cloud, data center, and silicon development.

You will work with silicon engineering teams on next-generation chips used by millions of users. You will own features, contribute to the codebase, and help drive prototype systems across Apple hardware and software architecture, collaborating with engineers across the company to deliver scalable

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or related engineering field.
• Experience with programming (Go, Swift or C++) and scripting (Python, Bash).
• 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Understanding HTTP, DNS, RPC frameworks, databases, and operating systems.
• Knowledge of Cloud security concepts and authentication/authorization tools.
• Knowledge of containers (Docker, Podman, Apple Container).
• Excellent communication, analytical and documentation skills.
• Experience using AI Agents or LLMs in software development.
• Exposure to Silicon workflows.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with internal customers to understand requirements and propose features.
• Share ownership of codebase, service architecture, tools, and developer experience.
• Lead deliverables to different teams and travel occasionally.
