Job summary

Perplexity AI, Inc. is hiring engineers to bring planet-scale search to developers and agents. You will own APIs end to end, design and ship features, and ensure reliability in a high-traffic public API stack.

You will work across Go, Rust, Python, and Kubernetes, collaborating with product and research to turn frontier capabilities into production API features, while maintaining strong security and observability.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and operating distributed, high-load systems.
• Experience building with modern languages used for API platforms (Go, Rust, Python).
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own critical APIs end to end: RFC, implementation, rollout, and iteration after launch.
• Contribute to product codebases in Go, Rust, Python.
• Build surfaces agents consume: hosted MCP, tool calling, connectors, and auth flows.
