Job summary

Harvard Medical School is seeking a Platform Administrator to support core infrastructure platforms, ensuring secure, reliable services and driving provisioning, configuration, and automation. You will work within the Platform Infrastructure team to keep systems well-managed and compliant, collaborating across IT groups.

This role requires hands-on experience with Windows and Linux server environments, AD/GP, and ongoing documentation. A service mindset and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years of post-secondary education or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with Windows and Linux server infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to evolving technologies.
• Willingness to learn and grow technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provision, patch, and decommission server OS across the platform lifecycle.
• Maintain configuration baselines and manage configuration tools.
• Support identity systems like Active Directory and policy integration.
• Monitor infrastructure, respond to alerts, and assist with compliance reporting.
• Automate provisioning and configuration workflows.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure reliable platform services.
• Participate in on-call rotations.
