Job summary

Harvard University seeks a Platform Administrator to support core infrastructure platforms enabling secure, reliable technology services across HMS. You will provision, configure, and maintain server OSs, enforce baselines, and automate workflows.

Collaborate with identity systems and multiple IT teams to ensure operational reliability and compliance. Some duties may be performed at a non-Harvard location, with a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ post-secondary education or relevant work experience.
• Experience managing server infrastructure platforms.
• Experience with Windows and Linux server operating systems and lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of identity integration with AD/Group Policy.
• Experience with monitoring platforms and automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Provisioning, patching, decommissioning of server OS across lifecycle.
• Maintain configuration baselines and management tools.
• Support AD and policy integration.
• Monitor infrastructure, respond to alerts, assist with compliance reporting.
• Automate provisioning and configuration workflows.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure reliable platform services.
• Contribute to software lifecycle for operational scripts and tools.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
