Job summary

LECO Corporation in St. Joseph, MI, seeks a Plater II for its manufacturing team. The role focuses on plating processing, racking parts on bus bars, and operating riding hoists or cranes to move parts into plating baths. Training will cover safety, chemical handling, and basic processes.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00am–1:30pm or 6:00am–2:30pm with overtime as needed. Requires safety glasses, PPE use, and math aptitude.

Qualifications

• Experience in plating processing is preferred.
• Ability to handle chemicals and hazardous waste.
• Wears safety glasses and PPE as required.
• Demonstrates basic math aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Rack parts onto racks on a bus bar/cart.
• Suspend and process parts using riding hoist, manual crane, or hand dip.
• Perform bath analysis and chemical additions; maintain bath parameters.
• Pre-Plate surface finish (bead blast, polishing, buffing).
• Maintain quality by sampling baths and recording results.
• Process work orders to daily scheduling provided by the Plating/Paint Supervisor.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 5am to 1:30pm, OR 6am to 2:30pm, OT as necessary

Position Summary:

Seeking an individual with experience in plating processing knowledge. Position consists of racking various sized parts onto racks that are stationed on a bus bar/cart. Requires learning how to suspend and process the parts by using and operating an automatic riding hoist, manual crane hoist, or hand dip using hooks holding the parts into plating baths.

Position includes learning how to

• Perform bath analysis, chemical adds, and tank maintenance.
• Pre-Plate Surface Finish such as bead blast, polishing and buffing.
• Maintain high standard of quality through collecting samples of plating baths, performing bath analysis to ensure the bath parameters are in operating range, and recording results.
• Will learn how to process work orders to daily scheduling provided by the Plating/Paint Supervisor.

Position Requirements:
