Role Details
Weekly Working Hours & OT
Mon to Thursday 06:30-17:00. 40 min break.
O/T at x1.225 first 9,5 hours worked, x1,4 after 9,5 hours worked
*Overtime will not come into effect until your first full working week*
Key Responsibilities
- To ascertain job requirements from drawings or other specifications.
- To mark out and develop profiles on plate, structural steelwork and pipework.
- To produce templates for marking and/or drilling.
- To produce angled fabrications using bending or folding machinery.
- To form rolled steel sections using section rolling machinery.
- To set out plate work for structural steelwork fabrication.
- To produce and install structural steelwork fabrications.
- To produce and install plate work assemblies of square, rectangular, cylindrical or conical form.
- To produce and install heavy steelwork beams or sections.
Experience
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship within a related engineering or engineering construction environment.
- Experience working within the Engineering Construction Industry on large capital plant such as thermal and nuclear power stations, oil refineries, petrochemical installations, industrial process installations and oil rigs.
Key Requirements
- Full Apprenticeship in relevant or related trade and/or a Vocational Qualification at L3 (NVQ/QCF/RQF) from a recognised Awarding Body (ECITB/EAL) OR
- Ace Card or equivalent in Fabricating Steel Structures or Fabrication & Welding
- Trained to CITB Standards or OPITO. Minimum 2 (two) years general site experience on a Petro Chemical Site similar establishment
- CCNSG Safety Passport
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in plating disciplines i.e fabrication of plate and steelwork
