Job summary

Altrad UK, Ireland & Nordics is seeking a Scaffold Labourer for future roles at Hinkley Point C. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing safety protocols, erecting and dismantling scaffold, and maintaining cleanliness on site. A CISRS scaffolders labourer’s card and Manual Handling Training are mandatory requirements. Working hours are Monday to Thursday, with opportunities for overtime. The position offers a full-time permanent contract with a pay rate of £20.97 per hour.

Qualifications

• A CISRS scaffolders labourer’s card must be held for operatives carrying out these duties.
• Scaffold Labourers shall have received Manual Handling Training in accordance with NASC guidelines.

Role Details

Weekly Working Hours & OT

Mon to Thursday 06:30-17:00. 40 min break.

O/T at x1.225 first 9.5 hours worked, x1.4 after 9.5 hours worked

*Overtime will not come into effect until your first full working week*

Key Responsibilities

• Have an understanding of company safety policy and ensure that it is complied with
• Use the correct tools, plant and equipment and keep them in good condition. Ensure they are safe before use
• Report to supervision any defects in plant and equipment, protective clothing or safety equipment
• Work in a safe manner at all times, avoid taking unnecessary risks
• Keep working areas and welfare facilities in a clean, tidy and safe condition at all times
• Not indulge in any horseplay or interfere with or misuse any plant, equipment or anything provided in the interest of health, safety or welfare
• Report all accidents or incidents immediately to the supervisor or site manager
• Behave in a professional manner on site and when representing Altrad off site
• Erect/dismantle scaffold as requested by the supervisor in a safe and efficient manner
• Actively participate in pre-job risk assessments
• Keep working areas in a clean and tidy condition at all times

Key Requirements

• A CISRS scaffolders labourer’s card must be held for operatives carrying out these duties.
• Scaffold Labourers shall have received Manual Handling Training in accordance with NASC
• Guidance note SG6 Manual Handling.
• They must have attended a recognised 1-day training course prior to commencement of their duties.
• The CISRS COTS Course covers this requirement. This is expected to be at no cost to the operative
