Job summary

Altrad UK, Ireland & Nordics is seeking an Advanced Plater for work at Hinkley Point C. The position requires completion of a recognized apprenticeship and a minimum of two years’ experience in plating disciplines. Key responsibilities include developing profiles on steelwork, producing templates, and fabricating sections. This is a permanent full-time contract with competitive pay and overtime available. Qualifications

• Experience working within the Engineering Construction Industry on large capital plant.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in plate and steelwork fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Ascertain job requirements from drawings or specifications.
• Develop profiles on plate, structural steelwork, and pipework.
• Produce templates for marking and/or drilling.
• Form rolled steel sections using section rolling machinery.
• Set out plate work for structural steelwork fabrication.

Skills

Completion of a recognized apprenticeship

Experience in plating disciplines

CCNSG Safety Passport

Trained to CITB Standards

Education

Full Apprenticeship in relevant trade

Vocational Qualification at L3
