Job summary

Pentair is seeking a Plate Operator for our Manitowoc, WI facility to plate parts per engineering drawings and specs, supporting production schedules while meeting quality standards. Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, operating plating robot, reading measuring equipment, testing and controlling plating thickness, and maintaining a clean work area on the 3rd shift (10:00pm–6:00am, Mon–Fri).

Starting pay is $31/hr with a $1 shift premium, with potential to earn $33+ after training.

Qualifications

• Manual lifting up to 41 lbs as part of daily tasks.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and apply engineering drawings, instructions, and standards.
• Operate the plating robot and controller and use a computer for daily tasks.
• Read and use measuring equipment and perform chemical testing.
• Test, analyze, and control plating process and measure thickness.
• Identify each evaporator with a labeling of plating origin.
• Inspect parts visually and with corrosive chemicals.
• Inspect parts before and after plating.
• Clean the general work area.
• Operate a pallet jack.
• Use various hand tools.

We have an opportunity for a Plate to join our Manitowoc, WI team. You will plate parts as per Engineering drawings, specifications, and instructions in support of and meeting production schedules while also meeting customer quality expectations.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and apply engineering drawings, instructions, and standards.
• Operate the plating robot and controller as well as operating the computer to perform daily job functions.
• Read and use measuring equipment as well as perform chemical testing.
• Test, analyze, and control plating process per standard as well as measuring plating thickness.
• Identify each evaporator with a label showing its plating origin.
• Inspect parts visually and through use of corrosive chemicals.
• Inspect parts before and after plating.
• Clean-up of general work area.
• Operate a pallet jack.
• Use various hand tools.

Key Qualifications

• Manually lift parts up to 41 lbs. to and from conveyors and racks.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically-demanding, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

Shift/Hours: 3rd shift 10:00pm - 6:00am Monday - Friday. Shift hours may slightly vary and may be subject to overtime based on operational requirements.

Compensation: Starting hourly pay for this role is $31.00/hr. + $1.00 shift premium with the opportunity to earn $33+ after 3 months! Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training. Actual pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.
