Job summary

Pentair is seeking a Plater for its Manitowoc, WI team. You will plate parts per drawings and specs to support production schedules while meeting quality expectations.

The role requires operating plating equipment, measuring materials, and maintaining safe, efficient workflows. You will work on the 3rd shift (10:00pm–6:00am) with a starting hourly pay of $31.00 plus a $1 shift premium, with opportunities for increases as skills and training are completed.

Qualifications

• Capable of lifting up to 41 lbs to/from conveyors and racks.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Able to stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and apply engineering drawings, instructions, and standards.
• Operate the plating robot and controller; use computer for daily tasks.
• Read and use measuring equipment; perform chemical testing.
• Test, analyze, and control plating process; measure plating thickness.
• Label evaporators with plating origin.
• Visually inspect parts; inspect before and after plating.
• Clean up the general work area and operate a pallet jack.
• Use various hand tools.

We have an opportunity for a Plater to join our Manitowoc, WI team. You will plate parts as per Engineering drawings, specifications, and instructions in support of and meeting production schedules while also meeting customer quality expectations.

You will:

• Interpret and apply engineering drawings, instructions, and standards.
• Operate the plating robot and controller as well as operating the computer to perform daily job functions.
• Read and use measuring equipment as well as perform chemical testing.
• Test, analyze, and control plating process per standard as well as measuring plating thickness.
• Identify each evaporator with a label showing its plating origin
• Inspect parts visually and through use of corrosive chemicals.
• Inspect parts before and after plating.
• Clean-up of general work area.
• Operate a pallet jack.
• Use various hand tools

Key Qualifications:

• Manually lift parts up to 41 lbs. to and from conveyors and racks.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically-demanding, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

Shift/Hours:

• 3rd shift 10:00pm - 6:00am Monday - Friday
• Shift hours may slightly vary and may be subject to overtime based on operational requirements.

Compensation:

• Starting hourly pay for this role is: $31.00/hr. + $1.00 shift premium with the opportunity to earn $33+ after 3 months! Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training. Actual pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.
