Job summary

Pro Resources Staffing Services in Lafayette, Indiana is seeking an electroplating technician for a 4pm–12am shift, Monday through Friday, with some overtime. Pay is $15.00 per hour.

You will prepare and inspect workpieces, operate plating equipment, monitor parameters, and maintain safety and cleanliness. The role requires experience in electroplating, knowledge of plating techniques and safety protocols, and strong attention to quality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and inspect workpieces, ensuring they are clean, properly masked, and ready for plating.
• Identify defects, imperfections, or contaminants that may affect plating and adjust.
• Setup and operate electroplating equipment, including tanks, rectifiers, and control panels.
• Select appropriate plating solutions and chemicals based on job requirements.
• Immerse workpieces in plating solutions and follow processes for even deposition.
• Monitor plating process parameters, such as temperature, current density, voltage, and plating time.
• Perform routine checks and tests to verify coating thickness, adhesion, and appearance.
• Adjust process parameters to maintain quality.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents, injuries, and exposure to hazardous materials.
• Properly handle and dispose of chemicals per regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Keep detailed records of plating processes, including process parameters, results, and any adjustments made.
• Prepare reports on production, quality, and any issues encountered during plating.
