Job summary

Wickeder Group │ Engineered Materials Solutions in Colorado Springs is seeking a detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our EMS team. You will prepare and process electroplating equipment to produce parts for customers, with on-the-job training provided.

Essential duties include operating cleaning and plating processes, following run sheets, inspecting parts, measuring with a micrometer, transferring chemicals, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to read blueprints/drawings and follow run sheets.
• Demonstrable basic PC skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work in different areas.
• Experience with chemicals and safety protocols preferred.
• Fluent in English, written and verbal.
• Ability to troubleshoot and work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate cleaning and plating processes.
• Process parts through chemical baths per run sheets.
• Perform chemical additions as specified by lab.
• Use a micrometer to measure parts and adjust process parameters.
• In-process inspection of parts using naked eye and magnification.
• Transfer chemicals to and from electroforming/photo areas.
• General maintenance of equipment and housecleaning.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Operate cleaning and plating processes
• Process parts through the appropriate chemical baths, following run sheets
• Perform chemical additions as specified by lab
• Use a micrometer to measure parts, perform calculations and adjust process parameters
• In-process inspection of parts using naked eye and magnification
• Transfer of chemicals to and from electroforming/photo areas
• General maintenance of equipment and housecleaning of all areas
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Ability to follow run sheets and enter data where applicable
• Ability to multi-task (work in different areas of building on different products simultaneously)
• Experience with chemicals and knowledge of safety protocols preferred
