Job summary

All Metals Processing of Orange County in Stanton, CA, is seeking an Electroplater to plate metallic parts to improve corrosion resistance and wear properties. You will plan processes, set voltages, and monitor acid and finishing tanks to ensure consistent results.

Reporting to the department Supervisor, you will log production data, inspect finished parts, and adhere to safety standards in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan plating processes and sequence operations.
• Set voltage and amperage according to blueprints/specifications.
• Dip parts into acid tanks to clean and into finishing tanks to finish and monitor.
• Perform visual inspection of plated parts and ensure uniform coating across surfaces.
• Rack parts before and after plating and log data into the computer.
• Adhere to safety regulations and perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

Under the direction of the department Supervisor, the Electroplater is responsible for performing the plating of metallic parts to enhance corrosion protection and/or abrasion resistance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Plans processes and sequence of the operation to complete plating.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches or specification to set the voltage and amperage required.
• Dips the metallic parts into acid tanks to clean parts.
• Dips the metallic parts into finishing tanks and monitors parts.
• Performs visual inspection of plated parts as well as inspection tools to ensure uniform plating on all surface areas are completed.
• Racks parts before and after plating.
• Logs data into computer for completed parts and processes.
• Adheres to safety regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Ability to communicate, read and understand English.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and purchase orders.
• Ability to follow instructions, specifications and plating procedures.
• Knowledge using calipers, micrometers, pin gauges.
• Experience of procedures to run acid tanks and equipment set up for plating.
• Possess good attention to detail to identify problems with parts.
• Comfortable using a computer for data entry.

ITAR Requirement

Due to ITAR regulations, this position requires that the employee must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident).

Physical Demands

• Walking/Standing for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Exposed to heat, noise and chemical fumes while in production areas.
• Good hand and eye coordination and movement.
