Job summary

Aethon Metal Fabrication in Maryville, TN is seeking an experienced Plate Roll / Press Brake Operator & Programmer to own forming from start to finish. You will program bend and roll sequences, select tooling, and ensure first-article parts meet tolerances during production runs.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, writing CNC programs, setting up plate rolls, calculating bend allowances, and performing inspection with basic measuring tools.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols to determine bend/roll requirements.
• Experience programming CNC press brakes and optimizing bend sequences.
• Set up plate roll operations and select tooling for cylinders, cones, and radiused parts.
• Ability to calculate bend allowances, fabrications, and tolerances for production runs.

• Program and set up plate roll operations for cylinders, cones and radiused parts.
• Calculate bend allowances, bend deductions, flat-pattern lengths and springback.
• Set up and run CNC press brakes and plate rolls to form carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum to print.
• Produce first-article parts and inspect throughout the run using tape measures, protractors, angle finders, radius gauges and calipers.
• Safely handle heavy plate using overhead cranes, hoists and forklifts.
• Perform daily checks and basic preventive maintenance on equipment and tooling.
• Work with engineering and the shop supervisor to resolve forming issues.
• Train and assist less-experienced operators.

Aethon Metal Fabrication in Maryville, TN is hiring an experienced Plate Roll / Press Brake Operator & Programmer. You’ll own forming from start to finish: programming bend and roll sequences, selecting tooling, making first-article parts and holding tolerances through the production run.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (four 10-hour days, a 3-day weekend every week). Overtime as needed.
