Responsibilities

• Operate plate roll press to fabricate parts.
• Perform deburring, filing, grinding, and polishing on machined parts using hand, bench, and machine tools.
• Read and interpret tapes measures, squaring tools, calipers, micrometers, and blueprints.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy and inspect parts according to tolerances.
• Interpret work orders and bills of materials; complete and maintain paperwork.

Job Summary:

The Operator will run a Plate Roll Press to fabricate parts.

Functional Job Duties:

• Competent use of hand, bench, and machine operations to perform deburring, filing, grinding, and polishing on machined parts.
• Understanding of and ability to utilize a tape measure, squaring tools, electronic level, calipers, and micrometers.
• Understand tolerances for parts.
• Ability to understand why machines are not a peak performance and how to increase output.
• Accuracy with alignment, dimensional, and general inspection requirements. Perform spot inspections of parts.
• Interpretations of work orders, blueprints, and bills of materials. Complete and maintain paperwork.
• Configure bend allowances for sheet metal (stainless, aluminum, and regular steel).
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Experience in a manufacturing setting operating roll press.
• Prior fabrication experience
• Have the ability to read a tape measure.

Mental Requirements:

• Must be able to go up and down stairs.
• Must be able to communicate effectively.
• Must be able to do unaccompanied travel.
• Must be able to tolerate shop environment and exposures associated with welding and industrial equipment manufacturing, and apply appropriate safety equipment when required.
• Must be able to work overtime as required.
• Must not present a risk of injury to self or others while engaged in company duties
