Job summary

Wilsonart LLC in Fletcher, NC is seeking a Plate Operator to operate the plate lift, separate pressed laminate, and stack materials under direction. You will lay up treated decorative and core materials, inspect for quality, and log production data while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of work experience preferred.
• Knowledge of safety standards in manufacturing.
• Ability to operate a lift truck.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve and position component material for production.
• Inspect material, plates, and laminate; record rejects.
• Lay up component material and lay off laminate per process.
• Operate console in break out area.
• Move stainless steel plates, carrier plates, and thermal wire.
• Identify plate finishes and monitor operations.
• Initiate corrective action if operations are not standard.
• Transfer thermal wire board and attach to posts.
• Log production information (material, type, size, run, settings).
• Move pressed material to Sander Department.
• Perform lock-out/tag-out and preventative maintenance checks.
• Participate in Wilsonart CI system.
• Maintain regular attendance.
