Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a plate preparation specialist to ensure Flexographic jobs run smoothly. The role involves setting up plate material, cleaning and laminating plates, mounting them for press operation, and maintaining equipment.

You will follow safety procedures, document job steps, and support production schedules. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and the ability to perform arithmetic.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to perform basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Must be able to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Must have basic computer skills for job documentation and recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Set up plate material on mounting machine using coordinates.
• Clean and laminate plate material.
• Mount plate material onto belt material for Flexographic press operation.
• Prepare and trim plates to maintain production quality.
• Clean and maintain mounting equipment and work areas.
