Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Chattanooga is seeking a Mounter Trainee for the 2nd shift to support plate preparation for Flexographic jobs. You will learn to set up and operate the mounter and prep equipment for the next production run.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and be willing to work overtime as needed. This is a hands-on entry position with on-site training provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Good attendance required.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods.
• Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.

GENERAL PURPOSE: Perform the necessary duties of plate preparation to ensure Flexographic jobs can be run on the press.
