Job summary

ProAmpac is seeking a Plate Mounter to follow press schedules and prepare plates for production. You will mount plates, ensure they stay ahead on the schedule, and minimize scrap by selecting the proper adhesives for each artwork.

You will also wrap and secure plates to prevent lift and be ready to re-mount or replace worn plates as needed. The role requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds, basic mechanical skills, and clear communication with supervisors.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in a related field
• Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.
• Ability to communicate effectively
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Have basic mechanical skills

Responsibilities

• Mount plates on presses and follow job schedules
• Keep multiple jobs mounted ahead of schedule
• Minimize scrap by using correct adhesive for the art on plates
• Apply hot melt glue on plate edges and wrap plates with plastic wrap to prevent lift
• Be ready to remount plates and fix worn plates as needed
• Maintain proper amounts of plate adhesive
• Notify Supervisor when adhesive is low
• Communicate any problems with Lead Person/Supervisor

• Endeavor to stay ahead on each press schedule.
• Be ready at all times to re-mount plates and fix worn plates.
• Maintain proper amounts of plate adhesive.
• Notify Supervisor when amount of plate adhesive is low.
• Communicate any and all problems with Lead Person/ Supervisor.
