Job summary

Sparked by continuous quality control, Starpak Llc seeks a plate mounter to accurately mount printing plates on sleeves on a manufacturing floor in Texas. You will follow job orders, check plate and sleeve specs, apply sticky back correctly, and perform pre- and post-mount QC checks with solvent cleaning.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 60 pounds, and working in a climate-controlled environment with PPE use. An HS Diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instruction.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in units of measure, whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Familiar with using a computer.

Responsibilities

• Job Preparation: check the job order for accuracy and request corrections as needed.
• Plate: check mounting plate, correct item, plate condition and thickness as specified.
• Sleeve: check mounting sleeve and sleeve thickness and condition as specified.
• Sticky back: apply on the sleeve using tape applicator without air traps.
• Mount: mount the plate using automatic mounting machine, perform QC pre- and post-mount, and clean with 99.9% isopropanol.
