Job summary

Spr Packaging Llc is seeking a Press Mounter Assistant for the night shift (5:30am–5:30pm) on Sunday–Tuesday and every other Saturday, or Wednesday–Friday and every other Saturday. The role supports mounters in organizing and mounting printing plates for up to ten-color printing on polyethylene film sleeves.

Primary duties include preparing components, mounting plates, ensuring proper registration, and maintaining paperwork.

Qualifications

• Must have general printing experience.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates press schedules and prioritizes mounting jobs.
• Reviews specs such as Work Order, Color Controls, Art Proofs, and Print Samples.
• Gathers and inspects components for mounting including sleeves, plates and proofs.
• Sets up mounter proofer for micro-dot mounting following established procedures.
• Helps mount plates ensuring proper registration.
• Fills out and audits paperwork. Examples: Daily Production Sheets.
• Demounts plates after press production run.
• Cleans plates free from all ink and foreign material.
• Stores plates in proper boxes and returns them to plate storage system.
• Manufacturing plates as required.
• Performs daily housekeeping duties in prepress and plate mounting areas meeting AIB standards.
• Performs basic maintenance on plate cleaner.
• May be required to work overtime to cover vacations, call ins or workload.
• Performs all other duties assigned.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
