Job summary

Resource Label Group in Missouri seeks a dependable plate mounting specialist to ensure timely and accurate mounting of printing plates for flexographic presses.

You will prepare and organize plates and dies for press operators, inspect and clean plates, and support press runs while helping with troubleshooting.

Requirements include reading detailed work instructions, lifting up to 40 pounds, standing for long periods, and being flexible to overtime or weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Mount printing plates on cylinders per job schedules.
• Prepare and organize plates and dies for operators.
• Clean and inspect plates, silk screens, and files post-use.
• Provide operational support during press runs and help troubleshoot minor issues.
• File new and re-ordered dies in the appropriate locations.
• Work with plate department for release of plates to maintain schedule.
• Support routine preventative maintenance of equipment.
• Keep work area and tools clean and organized to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Step in to support other departments as required.
• Adapt to scheduling changes, including overtime, alternate shifts, or weekends as required.
• Actively participate in improvement initiatives and training programs.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Responsible for the timely and accurate mounting of printing plates for flexographic presses, ensuring all setups align with manufacturing schedules and customer specifications while adhering to health and safety standards.

Major Responsibilities

• Mount printing plates on appropriate print cylinders using the correct sticky back based on the job schedules.
• Prepare and organize plates and dies for press operators, ensuring all materials are available for seamless operations.
• Clean and inspect plates, silk screens, and file plates post-use to maintain organization and quality as required.
• Provide operational support during press runs and help troubleshoot minor issues.
• File new and re-ordered dies in the appropriate locations
• Work with plate department for release of plates to maintain schedule.
• Support routine preventative maintenance of equipment.
• Keep work area and tools clean and organized to maintain operational efficiency and safety.
• Step in to support other departments as required.
• Adapt to scheduling changes, including overtime, alternate shifts, or weekends as required.
• Actively participate in improvement initiatives, including training programs and process updates.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Education And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (minimum Grade 10 completion required).

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment, particularly in prepress or printing operations, is preferred.
