Job summary

RR Donnelley & Sons is seeking an experienced plate maker to produce lithographic and flexographic plates from digital files. You will imprint, align, and verify plates, review images for quality, and document production steps.

The role requires familiarity with Mac/PC design tools, color management, and basic equipment maintenance, with potential for growth in a fast-paced printing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year technical degree preferred.
• 1+ years of print or graphic design experience.
• Familiar with Mac/PC design apps and Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

• Impose images and operate plate making equipment to prepare plates for press.
• Review plates for defects, maintain production documentation.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and light maintenance on platemaking gear.
• Handle color proofs and communicate issues to CSR and production teams.
• Review client files for completeness before plate making.
• Maintain inventory of plate making materials.
