Job summary

RR Donnelley seeks an experienced plate making operator for our Ohio facility. You will produce lithographic and flexographic plates from digital files and perform quality checks to ensure accuracy before press runs.

The role involves maintaining platemaking equipment, troubleshooting minor issues, and coordinating with CSR and production teams to resolve missing components. Prior graphic design software experience and familiarity with Mac/PC workflows are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical degree/certification preferred.
• 1+ years of print or graphic design experience.
• Familiar with Mac and PC graphic tools and file formats (pdf, tiff, eps).
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and imposition software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate plate making equipment to produce lithographic and/or flexographic plates from digital files.
• Inspect plates for defects and ensure quality before press release.
• Prepare color proofs for customer review when required.
• Maintain and troubleshoot platemaking equipment and replenish materials as needed.
• Communicate missing components to CSR and production teams; assist inventory where applicable.
