Job summary

Constellium Deutschland GmbH is seeking a Plate Engineering Lead to execute plate-driven projects in collaboration with maintenance groups, ensuring consistency and quality in project execution. You will supervise engineering teams and drive capital planning across APU and PAU groups.

Responsibilities cover project safety, budgeting, portfolio management, uptime improvement, and adherence to Plant Engineering Standards, with emphasis on employee development and KPI enhancement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or 10 years of related work experience.
• Experience with plant engineering projects and operating departments.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering disciplines.
• Strong background in industrial automation including PLCs and HMI systems.
• Experience with system integration and troubleshooting of automated equipment.
• Experience with energy management systems and utility optimization.

Responsibilities

• Safely execute plate/APU projects on schedule and budget.
• Develop and maintain capital plans with engineering resources.
• Maintain the capital project portfolio and reporting.
• Improve uptime through capital projects and reliability efforts.
• Drive planning with APU resources for equipment reliability.
• Review capital funding requests for accuracy and needs.
• Supervise APU engineering teams and third-party contractors.
• Develop subordinates for KPI improvements and succession.
• Allocate workload and resources for PAU Engineering Group.
• Deliver high-quality projects and outages on time and budget.
• Ensure alignment with Plant Engineering Standards.
• Support APU maintenance activities as appropriate.

Job description

The Plate Engineering Lead is responsible for executing plate-driven projects in collaboration with plate maintenance groups to achieve consistency and quality in project and maintenance execution.

Responsibilities

• Safely execute projects on schedule and on budget
• Develop and maintain the overall APU capital plan with assistance from various plant and APU resources.
• Maintain the APU capital project portfolio
• Ensure improvement activities are completed for the APU key cost center to improve uptimes
• Drive job planning with APU resources to improve key equipment reliability and capacity
• Review all formal Request for Appropriation capital funding requests for accuracy and plant requirements
• Supervise APU and third‑party engineering teams for APU projects and activities
• Supervise and train subordinates for employee development and KPI improvements
• Establish capital project portfolio, resource, requirements and engineering workload assignments for the PAU Engineering Group
• Deliver consistent high‑quality projects and outages on time and within budget
• Ensure execution of projects meets Plant Engineering Standards
• Support APU maintenance activities as appropriate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or 10 years work experience in maintenance, engineering, and/or reliability
• Plant Engineering project experience and knowledge of operating departments
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering disciplines
• Strong background in industrial automation including PLCs and HMI systems, required
• Experience with system integration, control logic development, and troubleshooting of automated equipment, strongly preferred
• Experience with energy management systems and utility optimization, strongly preferred
