Job summary

Elanco seeks a Senior Associate Scientist in Indianapolis to design, execute, and optimize plate-based analytical assays supporting hit mAbs through transitional and early development. This lab-based role emphasizes ELISAs, AC-SINS, PEG assays, and robust tool reagents to enable seamless tech transfer to Analytical Development as projects enter Pipeline Entry.

Qualifications

• Education: B.S. or M.S. in Immunology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or related field.
• Experience: B.S. with 4+ years or M.S. with 2+ years in biopharmaceutical assay development/early screening.
• Technical Skills: Extensive expertise in developing, optimizing, troubleshooting ligand-binding assays (ELISAs).
• Tool reagent design: Ability to design/evaluate reagents for assay development.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and customized plate assays (ELISAs, AC-SINS, PEG) to screen hit mAbs and biomolecules.
• Develop, optimize, and qualify quantitative ELISAs for lead molecules.
• Design, source, and evaluate tool reagents for assays.
• Analyze large datasets with GraphPad Prism or JMP; document results in ELN.
• Coordinate with Discovery Research and Analytical Development to align assay strategies with milestones.
• Evaluate new plate-based technologies to improve screening efficiency.
