Job summary

Elanco seeks a Senior Associate Scientist to bridge early discovery and development by designing, optimizing, and validating plate-based assays for monoclonal antibodies and biomolecules. You will drive quantitative ELISAs, quote tool reagents, and ensure readiness for transfer to Analytical Development as projects approach Pipeline Entry.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in developing, optimizing, troubleshooting ligand-binding assays (ELISAs).
• Ability to design and evaluate tool reagents for new assays.
• Strong analytical problem solving and fast learning of lab techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in a matrixed team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and customized plate assays (ELISAs, AC-SINS, PEG assays) to screen hit mAbs and biomolecules.
• Develop and qualify quantitative ELISAs for lead molecules and enable technology transfer.
• Design, source, and evaluate tool reagents needed for new ligand-binding assays.
• Analyze large datasets and document results in ELN; use GraphPad Prism/JMP for analysis.
• Collaborate with Discovery Research and Analytical Development to align strategies with milestones.
• Evaluate new plate-based technologies and high-throughput automation to improve screening.
