Job summary

Madden Industrial Craftsmen Inc. is seeking a Plastics Welder/Fabricator for a long-term day or swing shift position in Tigard, OR. The role involves bonding and bending plastic in a cleanroom, using a variety of tools to meet drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities include welding complex plastic parts, identifying materials, operating equipment for bonding, and training others. Must read engineered drawings and work at customer sites if needed.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent; 3+ years in manufacturing or plastics fabrication preferred.
• Identify various plastics (e.g., PVC, polycarbonate).
• Able to bend plastics using heat and read drawings.
• Able to work in a clean room and lift 35 lbs.
• Experience with hand and power tools and reading BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and weld complex plastic parts to drawing specifications.
• Identify plastics and bend using heat.
• Operate equipment for bond, socket fusion, and butt welds.
• Work in a clean room setting and operate a manual mill/lathe.
• Identify and correct problems and document data.
• Train assigned workers in new tasks.
