Job summary

Aegis Worldwide is seeking an experienced Automation / Robotics Technician to support automated manufacturing equipment and robotic systems in a plastics environment. This role focuses on troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and optimizing robotic and automated equipment used in plastics routing and trimming operations.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with robotic routing of plastic components and strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience as an Automation Technician, Robotics Technician, or similar role.
• Direct experience with plastics routing/robotic routing of plastic components is required.
• Strong robotic troubleshooting and maintenance experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot automated equipment from mechanical and electrical standpoints.
• Experience diagnosing sensors, motors, controls, pneumatics, and other automation components.
• Independent troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Strong understanding of industrial safety and preventative maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair robotic and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Support robotic routing, trimming, and cutting processes for plastic components.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on automation equipment.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and automation-related issues.
• Troubleshoot robot faults, sensors, motors, and controls.
• Make adjustments to robotic equipment and programs to meet quality and production targets.
• Respond quickly to downtime and identify root causes of recurring issues.
• Assist with equipment improvements, installations, and automation projects.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, engineering, and operations teams.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment following safety procedures.
