Job summary

Jobot is seeking a hands-on Automation Technician with PLC and robotics experience to support a highly automated plastics manufacturing operation. The role focuses on electrical troubleshooting, PLC programming (AutomationDirect), and robotics support within injection molding processes.

Qualified candidates bring 5+ years of industrial maintenance, strong schematic-reading skills, and experience with EOAT and automation systems.

Qualifications

5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
Strong electrical troubleshooting experience in an industrial setting.
Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting (AutomationDirect preferred).
Hands-on experience with robotics systems.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

Support robotic integration, EOAT functionality, and automation within injection molding processes
Program and troubleshoot PLCs (AutomationDirect)
Diagnose and repair electrical systems including motors, sensors, relays, and controls
Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
Perform preventive maintenance and respond to equipment downtime
Support and maintain injection molding machines and related automation
Repair EOAT and assist with robotic integration
Install and troubleshoot wiring, conduit, and electrical components
Assist with mechanical repairs including conveyors, pumps, and production equipment
Document maintenance work in CMMS or internal systems
Communicate with production and leadership to minimize downtime and improve performance
