Job summary

Ensinger Inc. is seeking a process engineer to design and optimize manufacturing processes for high-performance plastics. You will partner with Production, Marketing, and Quality teams to enhance product performance, efficiency, and cost effectiveness, while supporting safe operations in a plastics environment.

The role involves developing capital projects, cost estimates, and new equipment layouts, with daily production line support and adherence to QMS procedures. Houston-residency is required.

Qualifications

• 4 year degree in Mechanical, Plastics, Chemical or Materials Engineering.
• 2 years’ experience in the plastics industry and/or compression molding preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
• Familiarity with ISO procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote Ensinger’s safety goals and ensure safe work practices.
• Develop processes to manufacture new products within current equipment and tooling capabilities.
• Execute projects to improve process control and data collection.
• Plan and implement capital projects to expand process capabilities.
• Establish and maintain product routings and bills of material.
• Establish or modify process parameters to optimize compression molding outputs.
• Analyze quality data and lead root cause investigations to develop corrective actions.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal resources.
• Improve equipment or processes to enhance safety & ergonomics.
• Review existing and author new process validation reports.
• Follow QMS procedures, and update Standard Operating Procedures for production.
