Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Manager Operations to lead multiple departments in a multishift, 7 day per week operation with about 100 employees. The role manages an operating budget of approximately $10 million per year and drives a zero-injury culture while maintaining high quality and an expected fill rate of at least 98%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Operations, Business, Engineering, or related field and five (5) years of relevant work experience required.
• At least three (3) years working in a manufacturing environment and three (3) years of supervisory experience required.
• Master's Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operations process products meeting Klein Tools standards; oversee rework and scrap levels.
• Manage bottlenecks to ensure timely product flow and achieve fill rate targets.
• Optimize departmental profitability in short and long term.
• Oversee asset reliability program to extend key manufacturing equipment life.
• Engage departmental staff to minimize turnover and maintain a safe, clean workplace.
• Develop succession plans for salaried and key hourly employees; ensure backups.
• Coordinate with Supervisors on budgets, labor standards, and staffing; review financial reports and control costs.
• Collaborate with Product Development and Engineering on new products.
