The role requires 2+ years in manufacturing, with a solid understanding of line flow, quality control, and basic industrial software. You will troubleshoot minor issues and support efficiency improvements across the line.

About the Role

As a Plastics Molding Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining production efficiency by operating and monitoring high-speed injection molding equipment. You will ensure that our manufacturing output meets rigorous quality standards, contributing directly to the consistent delivery of our products.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end setup, startup, and continuous operation of PET and HDPE injection molding machinery.
• Execute precise quality inspections, both visual and mechanical, to ensure all output adheres to strict production specifications.
• Proactively troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate production logs, destruction records, and quality documentation to ensure operational transparency.
• Optimize line flow and manufacturing processes to maximize throughput and operational efficiency.
• Uphold a safe working environment by identifying hazards and strictly adhering to all safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• Manage raw material inputs, including identifying resin types and determining material suitability for recycling systems.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically with injection molding equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to operate multiple types of industrial machinery simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of production line flow and quality control procedures.

Preferred Skills

• Associate’s degree in a technical or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in high-volume manufacturing operations.
• Proven background in leading small projects or overseeing team workflows.
• Proficiency with industrial software systems such as Ignition or similar manufacturing execution systems.
