Mauser Packaging Solutions’ Indianapolis plant is actively seeking an operator to support molding operations. You will read schedules, set up machines, and start lines per process sheets to ensure consistent production.

Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing environment, preferably packaging or injection molding.
  • Knowledge of Hot Stamp and HTL applications is helpful.
  • Embraces continuous improvement.

  • Performs initial setup on molding machines including resin changes and mold insert changes.
  • Start machines by setting controls according to design configuration and process sheets.
  • Record data on process sheets and setup sheets, including weight, color, material type, and cycle times.
  • Keep tooling and work areas clean and organized and report damages.
  • Relieve personnel for breaks and observe safety procedures to maintain a safe environment.
  • Observe equipment for malfunctions and take corrective actions or contact supervision.

Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION As of May 2026, our Indianapolis plant is now fully-climate controlled to ensure a comfortable working environment year-round.

Responsibilities
  • Read production schedules and product specifications.
  • Performs initial setup on all molding machines including, resin changes and mold insert/tag changes according to schedule requirements.
  • Start machines by setting controls according to design configuration and process sheets.
  • Performs first good part procedure.
  • Keeps all tooling clean and organized, and notifies supervisor of any damage.
  • Stops equipment and clears jams.
  • Helps train new machine operators.
  • Observes and listens to detect common equipment malfunction and takes corrective action (E.G. perform minor repair or adjustment, contacts supervisor) Troubleshoots hydraulic pneumatics, and electrical systems.
  • Records all data such as weight, color, material type, insert/tag, machine cycle time, pressure, and temperature on process sheets and set-up sheets.
  • Keeps machine area clean and organized.
  • Keeps informed of the latest OSHA and related safety procedures for operation of equipment within the department.
  • Ensures that all non-conforming parts are identified, isolated, quarantined, and that hold tickets are issued.
  • Participates in corrective action for all held products.
  • Keeps all material and product handling equipment clean and assures that all work stations are clean and organized.
  • Relieves personnel for breaks as required.
  • Follows all safety rules and procedures and observes the operations to insure a safe environment.
Requirements
  • Experience in manufacturing environment; preferably a packaging or injection molding environment.
  • Knowledge of Hot Stamp and HTL applications helpful.
